The RG10 Podcast Season 14 Episode 1

In this episode of the RG10 podcast, we get a final update on the incredible journey of local adventurers Joshua Smith and Jack Pitcher, who undertook the challenge of running 4,340 kilometers across Australia to raise funds for Arc, a Wokingham-based charity.

Despite facing numerous challenges, including accidents, breakdowns, and extreme heat, the they completed the run in 61 days—16 days faster than any Brit had ever done it. Jack gives a detailed account of their experience, highlighting Joshua's struggle with severe cramps which led him to finish the journey on a bike, and recounting his own battle with extreme physical and mental exhaustion.

Jack lost 15 kg, went through three pairs of running shoes, and even had to run 140 miles in Crocs. He shares the emotional highs and dangerous moments, including a near-miss with a road train and encounters with wildlife.
